Hello Three Rivers Area Scouters!
On behalf of those that were part of organizing the night hike we would like to start by saying a big THANK YOU! for coming out and participating in the Three Rivers Area Night Hike this year. Despite the rain, we drew in record crowds this year (pre-registration numbers showed 230 youth and 100 adults!) For those groups that did not receive badges at the event, we know who you are and as soon as the second round of badges are picked up, we will contact you to make arrangements to get them to you.
We also received word from our BP Guild, that thanks to individuals generosity, $175 was collected and will be forwarded to the fund for the Sunrise Apartment Fire victims.
As with all events, this would not be possible without our volunteers. Please join me in thanking the following folks for their participation this year:
- ARMS (Alouette River Management Society)
- Peter Tam and his Black Ops Crew
- Dan from RMRC/Wildsafe BC
- Golden Ears Venturer Company
- Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue
- 1st Haney Venturer Company
- Pitt Meadows Lions
- MR/PM Citizens Volunteer Bike Patrol
- 24th Fraser Valley MedVents
- Ken and Vera @ our starting gate
- Maple Ridge Amateur Radio Club
(If I have accidentally forgotten someone off this list, my apologies and our thank you’s to you as well)
And of course, this whole event would not have been possible at all without our members of the 31st BP Guild. With Arnie at the helm, this event has become an annual event in our area and we all hope that the tradition will continue for many years to come! Three cheers for the GUILD!
